耐吉創辦人捐款助心血管醫療

運動品牌耐吉（Nike）創辦人奈特（Phil Knight）與妻子潘尼（Penny），捐出2500萬美元給俄勒岡州1家醫院，贊助心血管疾病的醫療與研究。

非營利組織「普羅維登斯健康醫療服務中心」（Providence Health & Services） 今天在記者會上宣布，收到奈特夫妻捐出2500萬美元，這筆善款將提供給普羅維登斯聖文森醫院（Providence St.Vincent Medical Center）的心血管疾病中心，為患者尋找最尖端的手術與醫療，並針對如何預防心血管疾病展開各項研究。

出生於俄勒岡州的奈特，1964年與波爾曼（BillBowerman）創立Blue Ribbon Sports運動用品公司，這家公司在1978年成為耐吉。耐吉企業總部位於俄勒岡州比佛頓市（Beaverton），與普羅維登斯聖文森醫院距離約10分鐘車程。

普羅維登斯聖文森醫院心血管疾病中心主任奧瑟蘭恩（Dan Oseran）說：「奈特夫妻的捐款是對我們數十年來的工作投下信任票。」

他表示，這筆金額將讓醫院得以接收更多病患，並且對患者提供更好的服務。
