8月3日數十萬民眾身穿白衣上凱道，要求馬政府查明洪仲丘案真相，不只國內媒體大幅報導，外國媒體也有相關報導。
德國《明鏡》周刊網站4日以「10萬人為洪仲丘討公道」為題，報導3日晚間在台北市為洪仲丘之死追真相的群眾集會，以及馬英九總統4日在公祭時對家屬的慰問和保證。
報導配合6張圖片，包括凱道集會現場、馬英九參加公祭和最高軍事檢察署檢察長曹金生的照片，《明鏡》周刊綜合外電報導陸軍義務役下士洪仲丘之死及台灣群眾要求國防部查明真相。
英國廣播公司（BBC）報導稱，24歲的下士洪仲丘因為攜帶有照相功能的手機返回營區，遭到關禁閉處分，並在烈陽下接受操練，原本即將退伍的他卻因此熱中暑死亡，時任國防部長的高華柱因而案下台，18名與本案有關的軍、士官一併遭到起訴。
報導也提及數以萬計的抗議者3日大規模在台北集結，要求政府查明真相。
