自從湖人挑戰三連霸失利以來，「西班牙鬥牛士」Pau Gasol就不斷被捲入交易傳言之中，本季Gasol更是不在球隊戰術中心之中，儘管如此，Gasol在近日仍然表達了對湖人的熱愛。
Gasol在西班牙接受《洛杉磯時報》電話專訪時表示：「我非常樂意繼續為這支我熱愛的球隊打球，能夠以湖人的身分打球是一件很棒的事。」
受到膝蓋傷勢所苦以及球隊戰術體系使然，Gasol本季表現不若以往，13.7分的平均得分是生涯新低，季賽期間湖人總教練Mike D'Antoni更是多次將Gasol放置在板凳上，對此Gasol則表示自己已既往不咎。
「我對此沒有任何怨言，我不是那種會活在過去的人。事出必有因，因此我總是著重於當下，我很滿意我現在於球隊中的位置，我也非常期待訓練營的到來。」
Gasol十分強調不留戀於過去：「我明白對於很多人來說本季是很難熬的一季，但那些都過去了，我們要做的是專注於現在和未來。」 (接下一頁)
